Refining is a process used for removal of undesirable elements like free fatty acids (FFA), gums, phosphatides etc. from oil and to improve its quality and ensure colour uniformity. The process involves degumming, neutralising, bleaching and deodorisation.
Batch Oil Refining Process
For small capacity plants below 20-25 tons per day, batch process is recommended being low cost and easy to operate thus making the plant economically viable.
